Centre for Radiology Clinic for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology

The Clinic for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology is a central facility for all diagnostic, minimally invasive and interventional therapy requirements of clinics and specialist outpatient clinics of Stuttgart Clinical Centre in general radiology. In addition, it is also available for all ambulatory patients. The clinic is equipped with advanced devices, such as Flash-CT, high-performance MRI, emergency room CT, PACS (picture archiving & communication system) and voice recognition system. For interventional procedures, there is a special hybrid surgery concept available.

For the patients there are four outpatient day hospital beds and nine inpatient ones, independently-operated beds available at Katharinenhospital. The clinic is certified for interventional and minimally invasive procedures by the German Radiological Society (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Interventionelle Radiology) and is also a certified member of several interdisciplinary centres. Both the medical director and his deputy have the full training authority of the German Radiological Society and CIRSE (Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe) regarding interventional radiology.
