Centre for Surgical Medicine Clinic for General, Visceral, Thoracic and Transplant Surgery

Our clinic performs diagnosis and treatment for gastrointestinal, oncological and endocrine disorders in adulthood. We focus on pancreas, liver, oesophagus and rectum surgeries and endocrine surgery. Kidney transplantations including living kidney donation are part of our service.

The clinic is both according to the criteria of the German Cancer Society and according to the criteria of the German Society of General and Visceral Surgery nationwide, the second double-certified pancreas centre. Similarly, the clinic is a competence-certified centre for coloproctology and a certified intestine centre. We already initiated certification as competence centre for oesophagus surgery.
