Neurocentre Neurological Clinic

The clinical spectrum concentrates on patients with neurological disorders of any origin. Two main emphases are diagnostics and therapy of stroke and multiple sclerosis.

The electrophysiology and neuro-sonographic laboratories are equipped with modern diagnostics equipment. The clinic features a national stroke unit, which was expanded to twelve beds, an outpatient consulting department and six beds at the interdisciplinary medical-neurological intensive care unit. Our neurological outpatient clinic completes the diagnostic and therapeutic spectrum with day-care treatment. Our clinic offers consulting services to the entire Stuttgart Clinical Centre/Klinikum Stuttgart. We have an authorization for ambulatory health care patients, who are assigned by neurological specialists and neurologists.

We attach great importance to education of young physicians and continuing medical education at our clinic. The clinic has been approved to provide training on ultrasound diagnosis of cerebral arteries (DGKN and DEGUM) on EEG diagnosis and diagnostics using evoked potentials (EMG) according to the guidelines of the German Society of Clinical Neurophysiology (DGKN).
