Centre for Paediatric Medicine / Women´s Clinic Women's Clinic

The Women's Clinic offers its patients the entire spectrum of treatments available in gynaecology and obstetrics. Here, the emphasis lies in minimally-invasive surgery, oncological therapy including mamma surgery, urogynaecology and prenatal medicine.

Obstetrics: the perinatal centre (along with the neonatology ward) fulfils all requirements for centres providing the highest level of care, and is among Germany's ten leading maternity clinics. Every year, over 3,000 children are born here. Additionally, a very high amount of multiple births and the successful care of very small premature babies makes the Women's Clinic one of Germany's leading maternity clinics.

Gynaecology: It was stated during the control audit of the past years that the breast centre continues to fulfil the high quality standards set by the German Cancer Society and the German Senology Society. In 2011, we were the first clinic of the region who established intraoperative radiation for patients with breast cancer.

As early as 2007, the Centre for Gynaecological Cancer was established at the Women's Clinic and in 2009 according to DIN ISO 9001:2008 as well as according to the criteria of the German Cancer Society, it was certified as the first institution in Stuttgart and the region and in 2012 it was certified again.
